MetaVision Decision Support tools reduce prescription errors by 83%

Research at the paediatric ICU at the Schneider Children’s Medical Center, Israel, shows that prescription errors and potential adverse drug events were significantly reduced through the use of MetaVision’s decision support capabilities. Specifically, adverse drug events were reduced by 72%, while medication prescription errors fell from 5.5% to a mere 0.7%. This shows the extent to which MetaVision can prevent weight-based calculation errors, which are of particular significance in paediatrics.
