About iMDsoft's MetaVision clinical information system.
MetaVision runs on standard Microsoft Windows® installations and does not require the use of any special hardware beyond the medical-grade hardware typically required in a healthcare environment. iMDsoft is available to consult with hospitals as to whether they need to acquire additional workstations, servers, and so forth, and provides hospitals with a specification of HW/SW requirements to support system performance objectives.
MetaVision is CE-certified in accordance with EU MDR on medical devices, is Health Canada licensed, and is approved to supply by the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) Certificate, as well as in other territories.
MetaVision has been designed to assist health organizations to meet the respective privacy and GDPR laws and regulations, as applicable.
Yes, MetaVision uses the most advanced and widely-accepted communications protocols – such as HL7 – in order to provide a constant flow of data into the patient record. Its extensive library of medical device drivers covers the entire range of devices, including monitors, ventilators, ECG, pumps, dialysis, incubators, and more.
Yes, MetaVision integrates with infusion and syringe pumps – including TCI and PCA pumps – and provides comprehensive support for the associated clinical nursing workflows, thereby decreasing medication errors and contributing to patient safety.
Yes, MetaVision has a communication engine that enables communication with all common server interfaces, including pharmacy, PACS, ADT, labs, microbiology, billing, document repositories, and so forth.
There is no known limitation on the number of workstations or remote terminals that may be used to access MetaVision. The largest site the system currently supports on a single server is some 600 beds in an acute care environment, with 1,500 concurrent users.
MetaVision also offers a distributed topology designed for larger hospitals or health networks that need to go beyond the limitations of a single server.
Yes, MetaVision enables clinicians to get an overview of all the patients in their care at a glance, and a rich fund of associated functionalities including configurable alerts that indicate those requiring attention, and much more.
Yes, in addition to onscreen indicators of data outliers, allergy issues, messages requiring attention, and more, MetaVision offers the Event Manager, which provides rules-based decision support that issues user-defined smart notifications when specific changes in a patient’s condition are detected, enabling timely clinical responses and enforcement of regulations and best practice protocols.
Yes, graphs are used for displaying data on a timeline so clinicians can discern trends. They facilitate comparisons between related parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and so forth. Drag-and-drop functionality allows users to add and remove parameters as needed.
